Secretary for the Environment KS Wong co-chaired the first meeting of the Hong Kong- Guangdong Joint Working Group on Cleaner Production in Guangzhou today(5 Febuary 2015).
Co-chaired with Director-General of the Economic & Information Commission of Guangdong Province Lai Tiansheng, the meeting saw the group's terms of reference and modus operandi endorsed, along with its work plan to promote cleaner production this year.
The Hong Kong-Guangdong Cleaner Production Partners Recognition Scheme presentation ceremony was also held.
A total of 102 enterprises, comprising 80 Hong Kong-owned manufacturing enterprises, four sourcing enterprises and 18 environmental technology service providers, were commended as partners.
