  • On-site Improvement Assessment Projects-Arrangement for on more than one application of funding support

    More than one application of on-site improvement assessment projects are accepted for eligible factories which meet the following requirements:-

    (a) A time gap of at least five years after their completion of on-site improvement assessments funded under the Programme with implementation of at least one cleaner production improvement measure as recommended in the approved on-site assessment report. The improvement measure should involve investment in facilities that have demonstrated obvious environmental benefits; and

    (b)   Change in production process/ material usage; or pursuit of municipal/ national/ international recognition on cleaner production.

  • Official Launch of an On-line Cleaner Production Toolbox
    Consolidating the Cleaner Production technologies and practices demonstrated under the Cleaner Production Partnership Programme, a web-based interactive tool – Cleaner Production (CP) Toolbox was developed to facilitate the factories selecting suitable CP technologies relevant to their industrial production processes in order to get initial idea on potential CP measures and available technologies that are applicable to the operation of the users with preliminary ballpark figures on cost and benefits.

  • New phase of Cleaner Production Partnership Programme invites applications
    The new phase of the Cleaner Production Partnership Programme has started inviting funding applications since June 15, 2015.  The Environmental Protection Department of the Hong Kong SAR Government has extended the Programme until March 31, 2020.  The funding ceilings of on-site assessments and demonstration projects has been raised to $28,000 and $330,000 per project respectively. Funding support will also be provided to trade and industry associations to carry out trade-specific promotion and publicity activities to better promote the adoption of proven cleaner production technologies by Hong Kong-owned factories.  Interested enterprises or trade and industry associations please refer to the relevant application guides for details:
